I offer four levels of editing services:
Developmental editing
If you have an idea, but don’t know where to start, I can help you develop an outline. We can develop a plan to move the story forward toward completion.
Structural editing
You have your book written, but it needs a good going over to check for flow, organization, point-of-view, and language in addition to checking for jargon and clichés. I can help you with that.
Substantive editing
If you have the book roughed in, but don’t have the skill or time to go past the rough draft stage, then I take what you’ve started and complete it for you. We’ll work together to complete your project.
Copy or line editing
Copy editing is going through your manuscript to check the mechanical parts of writing like punctuation, spelling, redundancies, and all the things that will polish your manuscript.
