Heartwarming Small-Town Romances and Thrilling Mysteries

On Christmas Eve, I announced on Facebook that I wouldn’t be writing over the holidays. I tried not to but couldn’t help myself. Too many opportunities to write came up, and I couldn’t turn away. I did what gave me joy. I wrote.

I have four books in various stages of writing and editing. I’m trying to focus on only two, but then I found an opportunity to submit a first chapter to a contest, I decided to send in the first one of a third book I’ve already have edited and is ready for more editing. Make sense? Probably not. Suffice it to say, I am working hard on at least two books that I hope to publish in 2024. Hurray! Then I’ll work on the other two and start a new one. A writer’s work is never done.

I’m changing my business model in 2024 and have a number of online workshops I’m attending to become a better writer and businesswoman. I’m exploring new ways to offer my books to people and broaden my distribution network. It will be a very busy year for me, and I look forward to sharing all of it with you.

Because of all the changes coming, my word for the year is “Huh?”. There is so much to learn and so much to master that it’s overwhelming. I spend a lot of time saying “Huh, I didn’t know that”, “Huh, so that’s how they do it”, or “Huh, I won’t be doing that again”, and other similar phrases. It’s a good thing an old dog can learn new tricks because I’m still doing it.

I wish you all a wonderful 2024 that’s filled with good things, good friends, good books, and good health. Spread kindness every day and love your neighbor. Make your part of the world a better place. I’ll do the same.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile; Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. I Peter 3:10-11
