April was such a blur for me. It was jam packed with events and trips and people and packing and returning home. It left me tired and wondering how the time passed so quickly.
May will not be any different. I start the month with a trip to Maui with my sister. Since she loves to read as much as I do, we consider it a reading retreat with sightseeing trips interwoven into our plans. Hubby and I were there a couple of years ago before the big fire. Sister hasn’t been to Hawaii before, so I have the privilege of showing her around. That might be dangerous. I hope we have GPS services or a map of the island. It’s not that big. How lost can one get?
I’ll be hitting my new book hard when I get back. Hubby will have to take care of himself while I get it finalized and ready to go. He’s good at that so I’m not worried. He’s my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I’m very thankful for him.
My first writing event will be in Casper, Wyoming on June 1-2 at the Ramkota Hotel. I’ve wanted to connect with the Wyoming Writers Inc. for a long time, and it seemed the perfect time to introduce myself. We used to live in Casper and may have a friend or two left there as well. Hubby will enjoy geocaching those parts. I hope to have time to go by Fort Caspar Museum and look around again. I did volunteer archeological work there back in the late 1990s. I’d like to see it again.
That’s how I’m kicking off the summer season. I hope your plans are as exciting as mine. Enjoy every day!
