One of Those Weeks

Ever have one of those weeks or days where not much seems to go right? That’s what last week was for me. It started off with news that wasn’t bad, but it set in motion a ton of work for me, mainly redoing a lot of stuff that I thought was done. Once I got that fixed, it seemed to cause other things that needed fixing, and so on. By Saturday, I wanted to hide.

Still, I learned I could do some things by myself, and that sometimes, it’s better if I do. I have certain standards I maintain, and the only one who can ensure they’re met is me. Short cuts aren’t always the best way to go.

That that gibberish means I corrected 19 typos in my new book and reloaded it onto Amazon/Kindle. If you find 20, please let me know so I can get that redone. I’m so embarrassed by my missing them. I apologize for all the errors, but a lesson was learned.

I have to wait 90 days before I can do that the other platforms. It’s the first I’ve “gone wide” to a lot of other places, so if you’re on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple, or any of the other ones, it will be December before I can get the corrected manuscript uploaded. Not my rules, but it’s the game I play with self-publishing my books.

Thank you to those of you who have bought my book. Also, thanks to those who took my faulty books and told me they didn’t mind reading through the typos. Both groups are greatly appreciated. That’s the end of my commercial. I’m off and running with Book 2 of the Oldsters Love Adventures series, Walkers on Water. The sleuthing trio are off on a cruise. To do research on it, I’ve signed up for a writers’ cruise in March. Won’t that be fun!
